Where you can go with a Takapu2 charter

Takapu2 is a 28.6 metre (94 feet) luxury expedition-style vessel designed and built in 1980 for the Royal New Zealand Navy. It was purchased by its current owners, your hosts Bill Leckie and Mandy Vernon, in 2000, and has since been completely refurbished for luxury charters.

There are three charter options

  1. Summer cruising (November thru April) Hauraki Gulf, Auckland, New Zealand.
  2. Tropical winter cruising (May thru October), South Pacific Islands by arrangement.
  3. Special events day/evening harbour charters, (November thru April) Waitemata Harbour, Auckland, New Zealand.

Guest numbers and rates

For overnight cruising — affordable charters are limited to four adult guests for a minimum of three nights. No timetables, agendas or schedules are imposed. Rather, the crew will tailor your cruise to your desires.

Special events charters are limited to day and evening cruises on Auckland harbour for a maximum of fifty (50) guests at a fixed hourly rate.
